   Ricky Pooran of the Cambridge Harriers had a busy day at the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Indoor Track Championships in Toronto, Saturday, setting two personal best times. He placed 6th in the boys 15 and under 1500 metre race with a 4:44.7 clocking, then ran to a time of 10:13.3 in the 3000 metres, placing fourth.
  Five members of the Harriers competed Sunday, at the Ontario Masters Indoor All-Comers Meet at York University. Howie Beattie set a personal best time for the one mile run, covering the distance in 5:07.4 to finish as second over-40 in the race. Chris Snow, 19, ran to a time of 5:11.7, while George Aitkin was 5th amongst the over-40's with a time of 5:19. Gary Cassel was 9th in 5:46.1. In the 800 metres, Snow placed 6th overall with a time of 2:18.5, while Beattie crossed the line in 2:23.9.
Aitkin, Dave Sheridan and Cassel competed in the 3000 metres, placing 2nd, 6th and 8th in the masters category, with times of 10:45, 11:32, and 11:39 respectively.

February 5, 2006
A pair of young runners from the Cambridge Harriers competed Sunday (Feb. 5) in the Ontario Track And Field Association's second all-comers indoor meet of the season at York University. Ricky Pooran, 15, recorded a quick time in the open 1000 metre event, crossing the line in 3 minutes, and 58 hundredths of a second, while Chris Snow, 19, finished in 3:06.24. Snow also ran in the 600 metre race, placing seventh overall in 1 minute, 38.81 seconds.
   Cambridge's Carmen Douma-Hussar continued her domination of the middle distance events on the indoor circuit Friday evening at the 99th annual Millrose Indoor Track Meet in Madison Square Gardens in New York City. In front of nearly 15,000 spectators, the 28 year old  overcame a near spill with two laps remaining in the 11 lap race after tangling legs with fellow Canadian, Courtney Babcock, then sprinted to victory in 4 minutes, 35.64 seconds. Babcock was second in 4:36.00, and a third Canadian, Malindi Elmore took the next position in 4:36.38

January 29, 2006
  Dave Sheridan was amongst the nearly 400 runners competing in the annual Robbie Burns 8 KM Road Race in Burlington, Sunday. He placed third in the men's 60-64 age category with a time of 33:46. And Ricky Pooran ran a double at the Ontario Track And Field Association Indoor All Comers Meet at York University, Sunday. He ran the 1500 metres, crossing the line in 4:54, then took to the track 20 minutes later for the 3000 metres, running to a time of 10:33.

January 21, 2006
Howie Beattie competed three times, starting off at the annual Hartshorne Masters Mile Indoor Meet in Ithaca New York, Saturday. In the men's 40-49 age category, he covered the traditional distance in a time of 5 minutes and 8 seconds. His teammate, Tim Payne took second spot in the 50-59 age group with a 5:26 clocking. On Sunday, Beattie was one of three Harriers competing in the Ontario Masters Indoor All Comers Meet at York University. He was the 3rd over-40 finisher in the 1500 metre event, recording a time of 4 minutes and 51 seconds.  A short time later, Beattie ran in the 600 metre race, placing second in the 40 and over category with a time of 1 minute and 43 seconds. George Aitkin  was 4th in a time of 4:57. After a couple hours break, Aitkin competed in the 3000 metres, breezing through the distance in 10:50 for a first place finish. Dave Sheridan took fourth place in 12:07.
