Route: February 27th

2/22/2016

This weekend we'll be running Soper Park in the reverse direction to our normal route (so we'll be starting out on Water St and run towards Churchill park).

Regrouping Points:

Elgin and Myers  (4km)
Elgin at Soper Park (7km)

For those wishing to run longer, I have a couple suggestions. If the trails are still relatively clear, they can branch off at Elgin and Myers to run by Franklin Pond and back on the Moffat Creek trail, which is 14-15km when you include the bridges. Another option is to branch off at Elgin and Soper and run the City Loop for about 14km.

This week is the modified Mill Route.

Regrouping points:

Blair Road and Princess (3.5km)
Blair Road and Bismark (6km)

I'm currently looking into options for routes to extend it and will either post them separately, or we'll discuss them the morning of if I don't have a chance to map them.

This week's run is the City Loop in the reverse direction from our normal route.

Suggestion for Regrouping Points:

1. The Delta (Hespeler and Dundas) 2km
2. Roundabout at Can-Amera and Conestoga 4.2km
3. Entrance to Soper Park on Elgin 7.5km

For those that want to go longer, if you continue down Elgin and come back the way we do for the Soper Park loop, that's roughly 14km.

If you also add in Waynco Road and come back on West River Road, it's about 20km.

This week's route is the Alps/Edworthy loop, which is a 14km loop.

From the parking lot to the intersection of Alps and Edworthy is about 5.5km, so those who'd like to do a shorter run can turn around there or shortly before it.

Regrouping points:

1. St Andrews and Alps (3.5km)
2. Alps and Edworthy (5.5km)
3. Edworthy and Roseville (8.7km)

I'll post future runs as they come, but if you want to know what's coming up, I'm simply cycling through the winter routes on the Route Maps page in the order they're posted.

As always, if you want to add a route to the list, let me know (me is Sharon, if you aren't sure, but I'm sure if you tell anyone in the club, given enough time it will get back to me). More variety is always welcome.
