Route: April 2

It looks like the weather is going to go back to wet and/or cold by Saturday, so I suggest we stick with another winter route and run the Blenheim-Dickie Settlement-Whistlebare Loop. It's a 15km loop, but those that want to do 10km can do an out and back (I think last time people looped through Brown's subdivision and then added a bit at the end).

Regrouping point:

Brown's Subdivision

Since winter has decided to return for a week, I suggest we run our old winter favorite, Soper Park.

Regrouping Points:
1. Elgin and Soper Park
2. Elgin and Myers Road

It looks like the spring weather is going to stay for the week, so I suggest we run West River Road and the Rail Trail this Saturday. People who want to run longer can easily add distance by running a bit further up the Rail Trail.

Regrouping Point: Footbridge Road

Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions for routes to add to the spring/summer running list.

Because the weather forecast looks warm for the week, I'm going to suggest that we plan on running the Rare Trail this week. If the trail is too damp, we can move it to the road and do the Modified Mill Race Loop.

Regrouping Points for the Trail:
1. The parking lot midway down the trail (3.5km)
2. The end of the trail (5km)

Regrouping Points for the Road:
1.Blair Road and Princess (3.5km)
2. Blair Road and Bismark (6km)

This Saturday we'll be running the City Loop.

Regrouping Points:

1. The exit of Soper Park at Elgin (2.2km)
2. The Can-amera Roundabout (5.3km)
3. The Delta (7.5km)

I'm not aware of anyone adding more distance, but for anyone who wants a little bit more distance, an option is to cut through Dumfries park at the YMCA then take Dunbar towards Concession Road and come back towards the Delta on Coronation to increase the loop to about 13km.

Just a reminder, I'm cycling through the list of winter routes in the order they're listed, so you can just check on the route maps link if you want to know what's coming up in the future.

Good luck to everyone running the Chilly Half Marathon this Sunday!
