Well, another successful result for Jacob Zerko last weekend, this time at the 63rd annual Alviston to Watford (two small Ontario towns) 10 mile road race. Into a headwind the whole way, Jacob stuck with Lucas Salazer-Reid for 6K before losing touch. The two of them missed a directional arrow causing them to run 500 metres extra, but they still placed 1st and 2nd in 1:00:12 for Lucas and 1:00:35 for Jacob.
Prior to that, Jacob won the annual Burlington Runners Good Friday 10K, running the course in 34:19 to win by one minute; as well as winning the Ed Whitlock Half Marathon in Waterloo with a personal best time of 1:17:25, giving him a 10 minute margin of victory over the field of 210 runners.
What a season our Harrier is having!
