At Moon In June 5K in Burlington on June 10th, Jacob Zerko ran 16:13 to place 3rd although he remembers only one runner being ahead of him. There were 500 runners in that event.
Jacob Zerko took first place for the first time in a Sarnia race that he has participated in since he was a kid - The Huron House Boys Home Run 10K. He had a 2 minute margin of victory with a winning time of 33:25. He beat 120 other runners.

Back in the 10K, Mike Hammond ran 41:49 to take top spot in the men's 50-54 category, while Katherine Willis was 2nd in the women's 60-64s with a 57:14 clocking and Richard Moran ran 50:03 in137th place. There were over 500 finishers.
