We had a good group of Harriers compete in the final running of the Run For The Toad on October 5th. Lisa leskien was 6th female and 2nd in the 30-39 category with a 2:06:51 for the 25K. Steve Mota was next in 2:13:25, then Dave Johnson in 2:27:48 and Joyce Barlow in 2:29:38. Our club relay team in the 4 X 12.5K were 6th with a total time of 5:10:25. Jenn Kellett, Warren Barlow, Sharon Rutledge and Nelson Coelho made up the team.
On October 6th, Rob Brouillette was 15th in the Waterloo Fall Classic 5K, posting a time of 15:32. Katherine Willis ran 25:47 and was 2nd in the 60-64 category. Katherine also ran in the Pinery Park 5K recently, placing first in the masters category with a time of 26:04.
At the Sticks and Stones 10K Trail Race in Dundas, Nelson Coelho took 3rd place in the 40-49 category, running 55:31 while Sharon Rutledge covered the distance in 1:02:36.
Dale Harrison ran his 18th career marathon at the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon on Sunday, finishing the 42.2 km in 4:38:42. Douglas Rivera posted a time of 3:37:22 abd Kamil Kosciukiewicz competed in the half marathon, finishing in 2:00:10.
Heather Chan ran 2:28:20 at the Living Water Resort Half Marathon in Collingwood on October 5th.
